For the people that know me I'm that fella that lives year round in boardies, tees and jandals or thongs if you call them that, I love summer and can't get enough of it. Living in Queenstown you get your fair share of seasons but just cant seem to get enough of that summer vibe that's been hanging around. So a mate of mine, Kiri Binnersley, another summer lover was down from the mount and thought it'd cool to get some summery fun snaps.
She's made a fun clip about Glamour Freeboarding a short time ago, sick haha check it below! Yeah its now officially winter here but the snows forgot about that part.

We had half an hour before the sun set so grabbed the board and quickly hit the road. Was leaving it tight but just caught it in time banging the shots out with a few minutes of sun left.
Tony Caudwell, Kiri's partner, came down too so helped me out with the flashes which was super handy. We were chatting away and he mentioned he could do flips off things, "Sick!!". Super cool not really planning anything and it turns into something bigger and better. Was amped, gave a call to Miles another photog mate. He was down, we shot for several hours over two days. I'm super competitive on anything, even if its to get the last choc biscuit in the pack.. ok that's greed but closest example I could think of. Yeah so we'd be up on each others grill getting the better angles well I was..ha

We were shooting everywhere, in the forest in the rain (/rainforest), the middle of town late and on a Saturday night so an odd drunkn larger-sized lady tried their luck on him. Haha well more me suggesting he'd love a hug to the lady and to his surprised she tried alright!

Some locations were super sketch let alone shooting at night without lights, well ok one, a head torch but still during the flips get half a dozen strobes go off pulsing, dodgy as. It was pretty wack, it was like he was from the Tekken game. Just to note for the people that have played gotta say Eddie is the shit and let all those haters hate haha.
Funny thing Miles and I would have breaks to think of something new and creative to shoot while Tony would flip after flip. This kid wouldn't stop, may have been to do with the numerous amount of Redbull in the bloodstream but we got the shots in the end ha.
With the shots down was time to partayyyy.
Enjoy, Stefan Haworth
great shots !
